You need to get a piercing that does not lie flush against the skin and had wiggle room so that the piercing does not embed itself into the skin
It may be that your piercing is too short and that it does not account for swelling as such you would need to get a piercing that fits better onto your skin and is not lying against the skin like that which has been known to cause necrosis of the surrounding tissue or worse, the piercing to be absorbed into the skin over time creating greater risks to your health
